Ths course teaches Basics of Pistol Shooting, the Basic Pistol Defense Course and License to Carry.

Five days of learning to take you from “This is a pistol” to carrying responsibly and confidently!

Lessons include:

1. Pistol selection for personal defense

2. Safely handling, loading, and unloading a pistol

3. Fundamentals of safe firearms handling

4. How to hold a pistol and aim properly

5. How to clear malfunctions

6. How to select a holster for concealment

7. How to draw from under a concealment garent

8. How to defend your home again intruders

9. Proper mindset for carrying and using a firearm

10. Knowing the Texas laws about carrying a firearm

Age restriction: Must be 16 years old to take the course, but 18 years old in order to apply for a Texas LTC*


Cost for the course: A $50 deposit is required to hold your seat in the class. The remainder of the total cost of $500 (only $100/day - a bargain!)** is due (cash or money order, please!) on the first day of class.

Students are responsible for purchasing the ammunition they will use at the range. If the student does not have a personal firearm, they will learn using a 9mm pistol and ammunition.

Bring 700 rounds
for use throughout the course or we can provide it for you for a $90 fee.

Meals and snacks are not provided but may be eaten in class; all trash must be removed at the end of the day.

 

*LTC Classroom instruction certificate of completion is good for 2 years from the class date printed on it, so anyone 16 years +1 day old on the date the class concludes will still be able to apply based upon this criterion

**Want to save a buck and some time? Take the classroom portion of the LTC Course online for $49 prior to enrolling. $50 will be taken off the course total! That also means the final classroom day is optional for you.
